Why SVA exists
A live tutor hour in Scotland is £35, or £50 at Higher. That is a lot of money every week, and a lot of families simply cannot do it. The course does not get cheaper because the household is tight.
Scottish Virtual Academy puts those same tutors on camera for thirty minutes at a time. You get a teacher in your pocket who already teaches National 5 and Higher, for about a quarter of one live hour. Maths and English first, then the rest of the SQ subjects as we film them.
It does not replace a live slot if you still want one. It is there for the weeks when a live slot is not possible, and for revision you can press play on again.
